Xi’an MixC announced its opening with a grand opening ceremony in the presence of government officials, leaders of China Resources Group, CR Land, and CR MixC Lifestyle, as well as architect and designer Thomas Heatherwick. Guests from partners, media and local citizens gathered at the unique new space to witness the grand opening moment and visit the Xi’an Tree, the core landmark of the project.
Xi’an MixC Shopping Mall is a brand new commercial project created by CR Land and CR MixC Lifestyle for Xi’an. This high-end shopping mall integrates traditional culture and modern design, and is combined with Park Hyatt, top office buildings and a collection of apartments to form a future CBD concept complex. The new mall aims to bring more surprises and vitality to Xi’an, creating a new identity for the city.
This mall opened on December 9th at the end of 2024, and features approximately 200 stores, including regional and city-level shops, as well as high-profile concept stores, which together make up nearly 50% of its total offerings. These stores cover luxury fashion, international trends, fine dining, lifestyle, outdoor sports, and jewelry, among others. In terms of dining options, almost 80% of the restaurants have Michelin ratings, are recognized by the Black Pearl list, or are flagship-level establishments, providing residents with a brand-new shopping and dining experience.
With a sprawling 565,000-square-meter area, the complex includes four 150-meter-high buildings and a total commercial floor area of 155,000 square meters. Xi’an MixC is expecting to become a quality lifestyle destination in Xi’an that integrates fashion, art, and culture. It is located at the intersection of Yanzhan Road and South Chang’an Road in the Yanta District in Xi’an, and connected with Metro lines 2 and 8, providing convenient travel experiences for citizens.
As a tribute to the China Resources Land’s 30th anniversary and MixC Commercial’s 20th anniversary, XIi’an MixC collaborated with renowned architect Thomas Heatherwick (Founder and Design Director of Heatherwick Studio) to reinterpret traditional Oriental Garden architecture using contemporary architectural language. Inspired by the thousand-year-old ginkgo tree at the ancient Guanyin Temple in Xi’an, the super city landmark Xi’an Tree has been created to bring a new urban identity for Xi’an city. The Xi’an Tree is 57 meters tall and features 60 giant leaf-shaped extensions. In the future, special performances will also be held around the Xi’an Tree during festivals or significant events.
